Electrical appliances

The standard in Greece is 220V AC (50Hz).

Banks

ATMs are available in almost all villages in Santorin. The most accepted credit cards are Visa and Mastercard, but most stores and restaurants will also accept   debit cards of internationally recognized networks.

The banks are open: Mondays to Thursdays 08.00-14.30; Fridays 08.00-14.00.

Water

We recommend bottled water for drinking. Tap water can be used for washing and bathing.

Telecommunications

The international access code for Greece is +30. You can make your calls from your hotel, from public phones booths or from OTE (Greek Telephone Company) office located in Fira town. We do recommend the use of pre paid phone cards, even for calls made from your hotel. Pre paid phone cards can be purchased from mini markets and kiosks .The outgoing code is 00 followed by the relevant country code, e.g.  for Australia ,00 + 61+ number you wish to  dial.

CLIMATE-Usually on springtime the temperature drops significantly after sunset even though it can be high during the day. On summer days, when the sun is at its peak, between noon and 15:00, the temperature is in general very high ranging from 90 ºF to102 ºF

VOLCANO AND HOT SPRINGS-It is important to remind that the boat will be anchored where the depth varies from 8 to 10 meters, also at a reasonable distance from the coast, where the water is warmer. Bearing that in mind, we advise to use caution when crossing to the Hot Springs.

DRIVINGEnjoy your vacation and do not spoil these magical moments. Be patient and careful, and of course, if you drink, do not drive.

KYPRIDA RESTAURANT- OIA
Only 3 minutes on foot from the central parking of Oia, Kyprida restaurant is located in the heart of Oia village.  It serves traditional Cypriot cuisine, which is a fusion between middle-east and Greek cuisine. From the privileged tables of the open air terrace you can admire the most famous sunset of the world. Friendly service, very good food, nice prices…Kyprida is good value for money as a restaurant in Oia.
